I am a creative and enthusiastic English teacher with 6+ years of experience. Coming from a family of educators I have always had a deep respect for both learning and teaching processes. As I grew up I started working as an English Teacher, first trying as a private tutor, to gain experience and confidence and further on working with groups. I proceeded to work for various English schools, gaining experience in working with different age groups. I have been trained to become a skillful ESL instructor and feel confident and free to work in various learning contexts. It was interesting for me to explore as many ESL educational settings as I could, so I applied for working as a corporate ESL instructor, teaching English to executives of different companies (banks, IT, etc.)
After completing my BA in English philology I went on studying language and language teaching. The MA TESOL program I completed at the University of South Wales allowed me to profound my knowledge in methods of language teaching, modern approaches, and creating an effective learning experience for students.
Having spent two years working as a teacher in the universities made me fall in love with this particular age group: young adults. It was an amazing opportunity to gain expertise in building an effective teacher-student relationship, get immersed into the young learners’ discourse, create a safe learning environment, and encourage communication.
Currently, I have been working on my courses, creating materials, and implementing a cross-disciplinary approach.
In the future, I am aspiring to take a path in educational psychology. Teaching has given me the best insight into the psychology behind the way humans learn. It’s been a great opportunity to research and implement in practice various approaches to deliver effective classes and create a good rapport.
Bringing forth several years of experience in different learning environments, combined with a passion for serving as an effective educator and supporter I introduce fresh perspectives on the learning process and hopefully inspire learners to grow. I value developing language ability among students, as well as oratory skills, learners' autonomy, critical thinking, and creative vision.
