Summary

As a PhD student funded by FWO grant, my research focuses on developing and implementing countermeasures against hardware attacks in hardware and incorporating them with processors like RISC-V cores.

Work History

Galois Field Multiplier

  • Implemented a compact but efficient Galois Field Multiplier that can be plugged into pipeline of processor.
  • Evaluated with Boolean Masking (BM) and Inner Product Masking (IPM) and achieved 5 to 7 times performance gain in terms of execution time.
  • Best Paper Award candidate @ DATE 2023

Loop Shuffler

  • Implemented a configurable loop shuffler enabling time randomizations based on randomly shuffling the data access address on the run-time.
  • Implemented Knuth-shuffle algorithm in hardware efficiently with distributed memory.
