His efforts paved the way for Alliance decisions that improved the nuclear posture & readiness.
  • Scott led a complex joint & multinational staff directly supporting NATO core tasks. He drove trust & teamwork across diverse organizations with and outside the NATO Headquarters, including the International Staff and Military and Policitical delegations of 32 Allies nations., gaining support for 13 key policy and advice documents.
  • Scott expertly balanced essential work and demanding timelines unseen since the end of the Cold War by optimizing his short-staffed branch. Protecting his strained staff, he covered vacancy and new work himself instead of further impacting his personnel.
  • Scott executed a nuclear education plan for the NATO Military Committee's 3-star Military Reps & their staffs. He revamped the Nuclear Policy Course to address today's new security environment, including adversary strategies. He developed & implemented a framework to advance Finland & Sweden's nuclear training prior to their official membership.
  • Recognized by the NATO Secretary General with the NATO Meritorious Service Medal for his leadership and unprecedented advancements positively impacting the Alliances deterrence and defense.
