• Administering 10,000+ Linux/Solaris servers to provide remote support across the globe.
• Experience on RHEL5/6/7/8,SUN Solaris S10/S11
• Environment: DEV/UAT/BUAT/PROD/DISA.
• Performing Patch upgrades and package installation on Linux server using YUM and RPM.
• Managing servers with VMware VC,HP-ILO and Avocent Ds-View, Aurora etc.
• Handling priority issues and resolving the issues as per the SLA.
• Performance monitoring of CPU,Memory and Disk utilization.
• File system/Space management like creation/extend as per Change Management Policy.
• Password reset/recovery using single user mode and maintenance (CTRL)issue.
• Coordinating with vendor support teams and DC support teams to check hardware status and fixing the issues.
• Configuring additional swap, root and var space asper requirement.
• VERITAS cluster management using VCS in GUI and CLI mode.
• Troubleshooting issues like booting, SSH, File system,IP configuration etc.
• Creation of file systems and checking the NFS automount file systems functionality.
• Backups and restoration using rear,tar,zip.
• As part of Risk and Compliance activities, performing security health checks in regular intervals to ensure that servers are compliant.
• Patching the servers using Ansible Automation tool for Linux servers from ansible tower server.
• An initiative-taking and personable UNIX system administrator and business administrative professional with proven Leadership skills and administrative experience in several departments.
• Maintained flexible schedule and responded to after-hours and weekend emergencies.
• Analyzed complex project server issues and worked on large enterprise and business-critical applications.
