- As a Customer Service Representative (CSR) at Sitel (now Foundever) I was responsible for ensuring that clients were supported in emergency situations after data breaches, hacks, or scams
- My main client was the large, publicly listed credit bureau Equifax
- This required a high level of knowledge and professionalism to ensure that these clients were treated with an excellent quality of care
- This often required the handling of sensitive information and conducting difficult conversations with clients that needed support.
- A secondary part of the role was the promotion, selling and upselling of protection plans to customers who needed them
- This required me to understand the issues facing clients, show empathy, and find the correct solution for them.
- The skillsets of proficiently handling customers on inbound enquiries and being able to upsell a potential customer are widely transferable to other customer facing roles.
SOCIAL WORKER - ENGLISH HOME TUTOR

- As someone who is passionate about education, my experience as a social worker enabled me to help underprivileged children learn English
- My role consisted of organizing the entire process, from creating the program, recruiting students, and teaching the daily classes of 20 pupils per day.
- Whilst this was a fulfilling activity, it also tested my ability to be organized and to keep standards consistently high over the period I was tutoring
- These skills crossed over well to my subsequent work experience with improved communication, organizational skills and the taking of initiative.
- This underlies my passion for helping people in both a personal and professional capacity.
