MOBILITY EXPERT (INTERIM)

  • Successfully led Genk's involvement with POLIS, thereby increasing the city's recognition in EU transport policy exchanges and making significant contributions to sustainable urban mobility initiatives.

    for projects including the integration of renewable
    energy in urban transport hubs (Hoppin points),
    positioning Genk as a leader in sustainable mobility.
  • Monitored EU policy developments, providing timely analysis and recommendations that shaped local policy alignment with EU directives, particularly in the sectors of environment, transport, and public health.

    governmental bodies, industry associations, NGOs, and

  • Coordinated the project team members to achieve the objectives of the Safer roads now (SRN) project. This
    was a local action project created by students at Hasselt University, funded by the Global Youth Coalition
    for Road Safety and Total Energies Foundation. The SRN project had three objectives:
    Objective 1: Engage students from Hasselt University in the identification/prioritization of infrastructure
    and community targets with a high improvement potential in relation to walking and cycling within Hasselt
    and Diepenbeek
    Objective 2: Train road safety youth leaders who will spread knowledge on road safety for soft mobility
    users at the University by the end of April 2023.
    Objective 3: Advocate for the implementation of the recommendations of the project Safer Roads Now.
    The coordination team had to:
    ‑ Coordinate youth leaders, designers and the team for effective program content dissemination.
    ‑ Reach out to the corresponding stakeholders and decision makers.
    ‑ Monitor and increase the impact of the project through effective engagements and communication.
