As Team Leader within the Public Consulting division of Public Vlaanderen, I was responsible for leading and coaching a small team of management consultants who provide strategic advice to local authorities and other local government institutions. I oversaw project coordination, ensured the quality of services, supported the professional development of my team, and was involved in writing solution offerings and commercial proposals. My role also included ensuring efficient collaboration between consultants and clients, assigning the right expertise to projects, and monitoring results.


Additionally, I was actively involved as a project consultant in several organizational and HR-related assignments, where I provided advice on organizational and personnel issues.

Senior Account Manager

For several years I worked as a Senior Account Manager for the European Commission, and later expanded my role to manage several key accounts within the Public Sector.


- Leadership and HR Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnership and Advising: As a sparring partner and advisor for various business stakeholders, I worked closely with different departments to ensure optimal staffing and project execution. This included leading job intakes, regularly following up on consultants and projects, and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  • Team Management of 125 Consultants: I was responsible for assigning the right expertise to projects. Additionally, as the first point of contact for HR-related questions (leave, sickness, payroll, training), I provided continuous guidance and support to the team. Through regular project follow-ups and annual evaluations, I encouraged their development and identified training needs to optimize performance.
  • Recruitment Process Coordination and Team Development: I managed the entire recruitment process, from matching candidates to leading selection interviews and assessments. I also prepared consultants for client interviews and was deeply involved in their professional development.
  • Contract Management and Process Optimization: I was responsible for managing order contracts, delivering periodic progress reports, and overseeing time tracking and administrative tasks. This ensured the smooth operation of the team and increased efficiency.


- Commercial and Client-Facing Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Management and Client Engagement: By adopting a consultative sales approach, I built strong relationships with key stakeholders. This led to increased client engagement and a deeper understanding of their needs, resulting in tailored solutions.

Senior Recruitment Consultant

As a Senior Recruitment Consultant, I was responsible for providing permanent recruitment services for different types of Sales roles across different industries (ic. B2B services, FMCG, automotive etc.) in the wide Brussels area and Flemish Brabant.


This was an A-Z Recruitment role:

  • Identifying new recruitment requests within a client portfolio.
  • Job intakes with hiring managers. µDrafting job specifications and job vacancies.
  • Actively maintaining a candidate pool: candidate sourcing on different platforms: VDAB, Indeed, Monster, LinkedIn (Recruiter Seat), own database.
  • Candidate screening and conducting in-depth selection interviews using the STAR-method.
  • Candidate proposals to hiring managers.
  • Contract negotiations.
  • Participation in job fairs.


In addition to the above role, I also worked as a dedicated Recruitment Consultant for Euroclear and Euroclear Bank in Brussels for about 3 years. In this role, I was responsible for the screening and selection process of suitable candidates within the Euroclear candidate-database for several Operations roles and Client Service roles in different business units. Additionally, I also took part in the assessment days and conducted selection interviews on behalf of the HR team.
