Thesis Project

Title: Diachronic Virtual Reconstruction of the Forum of Sarmizegetusa, Romania - 2024
Objective: To digitally reconstruct the Roman Forum of Sarmizegetusa across different phases during its existence in the 2nd century AD.
Methodology: Using Blender for 3D modeling and visualization, YEd for data visualization, and Extended Matrix for 3D reconstruction hypotheses.
Significance: Demonstrating the evolution of the forum over time, based on comprehensive historical sources and archaeological data.
Goal: To provide a comprehensive visual representation of the forum's historical development and spatial layout, contributing to cultural heritage preservation and scholarly understanding.

3D Reconstruction of Replicated Plaster Relief of The Parthenon, 5th century B.C.

  • Location: Museum of Archaeological Sciences and Art of Liviano, Padova, Italy (2022)

Project Details:

  • Captured detailed surface data using structured light scanner.
  • Processed and refined point clouds into precise 3D meshes.
  • Created and finalized high-fidelity 3D models using MeshLab and Blender.
