A sabbatical year to get involved in humanitarian research projects:

• Lecturer in several peace and conflict resolution projects in Rwanda;
• Framework strengthening the role of women in national reconstruction and economic development;
  Achievements:
• Helped translate aids proposal into Italian, French and Kinyarwanda for various NGOs
• Helping survivors of the Rwandan genocide to build a new future for themselves;
• Fund-raising for street children, raising $25,000 for the project, which is still ongoing and provides funding for 15 students a year
