Bluetooth medical devices

• Consists of a variety of product with medical applications that integrate a bluetooth chip, ranging from bluetooth scales that automatically forward a persons weight to the doctor ( to be able to anticipate certain hearth conditions ) to Wireless pulse & bloodpressure meters
• Creation of several prototype of miniature bluetooth devices
• Windows & windows mobile development of software to enable communication with the devices and visualization of the received data

Local positioning system

• LPS is a low cost indoor positioning system
• The system consists of a series of TAG's ( credit card sized emitters ) which emit a signal that can be detected by wall mounted nodes
• The signal is then transmitted via a CAN-bus to a central server that calculates the position of the TAGS.
• Complete hardware research and development for the nodes and tags
• PDCAD : routing & PCB design - c/c++ : Programming of the TAG / NODES / CAN - Development of a proprietary protocol and network structure for the CAN-bus and TCPIP communication
• Researching the RF properties and propagation of an 433Mhz signal , PCB antenna development and testing for both nodes and tags
• Development of Gateway ( receiving from can bus ) and Server software ( central data point which calculates the localization of the TAGS ) - C# , TCPIP , forms, network programming - C#, creating custom real time dashboard tools for visualizing the tag

MICROCONE

• A conference microphone consisting of a 6 microphone array in hexagonal form capable of distinguishing up to 6 different speaker at at time
• This devices comes with a complete software solution for voice recognition & creating transcripts of registered meetings
• Creation of the final miniaturized prototype
• Board design & element selection ( DSP, USB , microphones ) - PCAD PCB design - Researching different microphones and troubleshooting microphone interference - Assisting in adapting the device to be compatible with generic windows & mac drivers

SECU4 / Bluewatchdog

• SECU4 is a bluetooth based hardware protection device
• After the SECU4 has been linked with a bluetooth device it will emit a high pitched alarm sound if the device is removed a certain distance from the SECU4 device
• Prototype testing & compatibility testing with different phones
• Development of windows mobile version of the software for windows phones
• ( C# , windows mobile , blue tooth ) - Extensive research and creation of a paper on blue tooth security to ensure that the
• SECU4 is not susceptible to attacks

TPVisionStudio

• Development of a central software application to aid in the prototyping, testing and implementation of new hardware and television components
• A modular plugin-engine system based on dependency injection
• Hardware : Maintenance of a LPC controller based board which allows I2C, spi, UART, ethernet , GPIO

VEOVOX

• Veovox consists of a PDA mounted microphone array that enables voice recognition inside a busy bar
• The system consists of the microphone array accompanied by a small dsp that communicates via RS232 with the PDA, the PDA will then relay the voice recognition data to the central server
