  • Improvement of gum mixture preparation toward rheology and testing which viscosity has the best application on paper
  • Set up more accurate measuring system, after validation train QA operators
  • Investigating Arabic gum characteristics and accompanying ingredients

  • Due to all 3 SU of the lines in a few years' time, huge growth of people hired in Kutno plant, the decision was made to install Focus improvement leaders in the TSD group
  • A mindset change because I was always following a technical career path by supporting projects, now an extra challenge like people management came on
  • Reduction of process OEE loss
  • The main purpose over here was to build sustainability, D&V minded, budget control, spare part safety stock and maintenance control
  • Create a lot of capability towards operations and process engineers, created structure and tracking systems
  • AM support, defect handling system, PM card introductions, improved lubrication system, new KPI definition
  • Create capital rebuild maintenance plans for next 10 years
  • Implemented a lot of improvement projects, create daily follow up teams towards issues on the lines, priority settings on DDS
  • Kaizen implementation
  • APS implementation on difficult topics = DMAIC, capability building to new team members

  • Due to circumstances I was asked to jump in to SU the 3rd line in Kutno, process related in the middle of installation part
  • Quite a challenge with less background information, delay in construction and very stretched timings
  • Because of the intense cooperation between contractors like blue projects, Cyclops and Kellogg's global engineering, we managed to achieve the SU timings

  • Demand on high volumes needed for the market and control of losses to build sustainability in the plant
  • Set up a D&V tracking system to get the critical data out in 15 min every morning
  • Defined the biggest losses in 4 buckets with D&V manager in Mechelen, implemented a new control strategy automation who was missing in both plants during installing of new seasoning equipment
  • Close follow up and cooperation with finance manager to make tracking system valid
  • New sensors installed to have the right values.capacity increase projects
  • By increasing line speeds, finding the right balance between the equipment capability and formulation control were a nice challenge
  • This in cooperation with global engineering group, RQNT, Kutno plant especially TSD group and Mechelen plant members were required to achieve new goals
  • New formulation and equipment needed to be installed were I was assigned as a SU leader for Kutno
  • Automate run empty sequences for flour systems, SU sequences for making dough

  • Second line was already installed, only needed to be tested (IQ/OQ/ safety integration) and SU, 6 area's in total
  • In-depth training towards planning, strong connections build with suppliers and external contractors

  • SU supply chain in Poland for oils and emulsifier, but after 4 weeks jumped in as SU leader Dough Making /Cut & Transfer
  • Roll out chemical clearance list in Kutno
  • Provide procedures, sanitization processes towards cleaning equipment
  • Capability building towards dough making and cutting team

  • Preparation started to qualify new oil suppliers for new Kutno plant in Poland, quality assessment by new suppliers was required and training of new MPD member in Poland at the same time
  • Involved to support new grain formula with new technical equipment globally
