  • Formulate strategic messages of the government of Luxembourg on EU energy policy (Green Deal, internal market, security of supply), reporting directly to the energy minister;
  • Represent the government of Luxembourg in the Energy Working Party of the EU Council and implement negotiation strategies with other Member States on EU legislation ;
  • Reaching out to the European Commission, MEPs and to various stakeholders in Brussels to build compromise;
  • Prepare and draft ministerial statements and written contributions ahead of meetings of the Council of Ministers and other public appearance of the minister (i.e conferences, press events); briefings and notes for the Prime Minister ahead of European Council meetings;
  • Represent the government of Luxembourg in several international organisations such as the International Energy Agency (Governing Board) and its technical bodies (Energy Efficiency Working Party, Energy Efficiency Hub).

  • Negotiate the Clean Energy Package in the office of the rapporteur (Governance of the Energy Union) and shadow rapporteur (Renewable Energy Directive, Electricity Regulation and Directive) and on other files in the remit of the ITRE committee (Connecting Europe Facility, InvestEU programme): drafting amendments and compromise amendments, building coalitions, leading technical shadow meetings and technical trilogues;
  • Perform trategic planning for the promotion of green positions in the area of energy; study visits to Member States and participation to energy Council meetings with access at ministerial and Commissioner level;
  • Promote green positions towards Commission and Council officials, coordination with key progressive stakeholders (NGOs, industry, local public authorities), press relations with relevant energy journalists in Brussels;
  • Contributing author of a book on the energy transition, publication of about 20 policy papers, briefings, notes and memos to shape public debate in Brussels around the green narrative.

Extracurricular activities

  • Rugby player for 20 years in France (Lyon Olympique Universitaire and Students League) and in Belgium (Kibubu Rugby Club).
  • Official referee and member of the Referee’s Committee of the Belgian Rugby Federation (2008-2018).
  • Founding member and Head Coach of the Kosovo Roosters Rugby Club, the first rugby club in Kosovo history, and Manager of the Kosovo Rugby Development Programme (2013-2014) that led to the creation of the Kosovo Rugby Federation.
  • Member of the European Parliament Rugby Team (EPXV) and participation to the Parliamentary World Cup in 2023.
