  • Receive details of orders generated through the warehouse management system (wms) which provides instructions, including item locations and quantities.
  • Pick items from shelves to shelf, by using a handheld scanner or mobile device to locate items that are picked manually, each item is scanned to confirm accuracy and update the inventory system.
  • Consolidate orders by grouping them and placing them in bins or trolleys according to order specifications.
  • Send them to the packing area, and when I work in the packing area, I collect all the item of an order by using a computer, a handheld scanner, as the order is complete, I must check them again for accuracy before being packed then I use the printer to print the final user destination, pack them, label them for shipping.
  • I also work in the return area where I’m used to receiving returned items which are logged in the system upon arrival at the warehouse, l inspect the items for condition and eligibility for restocking.
  • I sort all the eligible returns based on their category (e.g., damaged, resalable).
  • Then I restock resalable items by scanning and returning them to their designated shelves then then the inventory levels are updated in the wms. This way I help the warehouse manager to use detailed records of returns and maintain the tracking and analysis.
