- Creation of a professional registration database that is a collection of all results on production controls, for measurements that are carried out both in the lab and in production
- Mapping Non-conformities, communicate within the Quality Team and the follow-up of corrective actions
- Updating the Laboratory control plan at regular intervals in function of the needs, trends and/or defects
- Focus on Quality control for new and critical products in collaboration with the Process team
- Setting up a ticket system for the planning and organization of test requests by different departments with a clear reporting
- Deploying objective color controls such as ACMS in which the colors of wood decors are digitally scanned
- This replaces the subjective, visual color assessments
- Automatization of lab measurements by Data communication systems
- Elaborating Gage R&R studies, both within the Flooring division and across various laboratories within the Unilin group, mainly related to critical tests
- Supervising and participating in Quality Audits of customers and institutes
- Implementation of the Lean Manufacturing concept “5s” in the Laboratory
- Contacts with supplier such as printers, wood board suppliers,… Rationalization project lacquers.
