After acquiring experience as a geotechnical engineer I requested to be assigned as project engineer. During this period I coordinated cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration to achieve project goals.

I acquired a basic understanding on other areas of expertise (apart geotechnical) - Auxiliary Equipment and Reclamation Works.

In summary I worked mainly in 3 fronts:

• Elaboration of project timelines with proactive planning and close follow up of progress.
• Created detailed reports on engineering activities and findings.
• Implemented safety initiatives on job sites aiming to reduced incidents significantly over time.

• Collaborated with clients and stakeholders to address emerging geotechnical concerns during construction activities, facilitating prompt resolution of issues while minimizing impacts on project schedules.
• Enhanced soil stability by designing and implementing effective slope stabilization measures.
• Performed comprehensive risk assessments regarding potential slope failures or landslides, implementing effective mitigation measures to safeguard project investments and protect public safety.
• Evaluated and recommended suitable ground improvement methods for weak or unstable soils, ensuring the long-term stability of infrastructure projects built on such sites.
• Applied seismic risk assessment to guide critical infrastructure design decisions, ultimately contributing to improved safety margins in earthquake-prone regions.
• Visited project sites during construction to monitor progress and consult with contractors and on-site engineers.
• Developed communication and interpersonal skills while visiting clients, jobsites and consultant offices to support project and business development needs.
• Assisted in bidding process by providing for on-site inspections and preparing take-offs.
• Reviewed calculations and analytical data to maintain accuracy of technical reports.
• Monitored laboratory testing on soils, rocks, to ensure safe and efficient building practices.
• Adhered to timelines to meet quality assurance targets.

• Collected samples from different ore types through a handheld x-ray device (XRF) in an underground copper and zinc mine. Evaluated the data to stablish a correlation between XRF and the traditional laboratorial analysis applying geostatistics.

Followed ore daily exploration and studied critical matters such as dilution effects during operations.

Acquired experience with software Orecon and Miner Newmont TSS on polygons liberation and production estimate.
