Airfield Management Operations Supervisor

  • PCS (permanent change of station) to Chèvres Air base, Belgium in September 2023
  • Analyze and process flight plans from pilot crews
  • Conduct daily Airfield inspections/checks to determine accurate airfield conditions to include airfield discrepancies, runway surface condition, and bird watch conditions
  • Monitor and send applicable NOTAMs pertaining to airfield conditions
  • Conduct FLIP (flight information publication) changeout once FLIPS expired and dispersed them to appropriate agencies
  • Process PPRs (prior permission required) for transient aircraft transitioning in and out of Chievres Air base to include reviewing CALPs (civil aircraft landing permit) for non-military aircraft coming into an operating military base
  • Trained, mentored and motivated employees to maximize team productivity.
  • Monitor PCAS (primary crash alarm system) for any in-flight or ground emergencies
