- Perform duties as Crypto Accounts Manager in the Central Office of Records (COR) and Crypto Custodian.
- Manage NATO Crypto Accounts for audits on the destruction, inventories of crypto material.
- Grants access to the COMSEC Accounting, Reporting and Distribution System (CARDS) for the Crypto Custodians, Alternates, and COMSEC Officers in NATO and NDAs, provides a CARDS help desk function.
- Issues or transfers crypto material as directed by the Controlling Authority to authorized COMSEC accounts (including sub-accounts) or individual users.
- Responsible for the distribution of changes to Allied Military Security General (AMSG) 600.
- Perform duties as the Central Key Distribution Authority for the COR, including the distribution of electronic keys for NATO, ACO, ACT Crypto accounts and National Distribution Agencies (NDAs), and ensure that key provision is in place for all Crypto accounts.
- Receive electronic keys from the DACAN Electronic Key Management System (DEKMS) and from the DACAN Key Management Infrastructure (DKMI), download and upload electronic keys in the NATO Electronic Key Management System (NEKMS).
- Support all NATO exercises with the key distribution.
- Perform encryption and setup of data at rest for NATO-wide customers.
- Conduct crypto inspections NATO-wide, including at ACO, ACT and NATO Agencies having NATO crypto accounts and NATO two-person-controlled material.
Alternate Crypto Custodian

- Alternate Custodian for the Management, receipt, storage, accounting, control and distribution of cryptographic material for the main account for
about 22,000 crypto items. - Distribute physical or electronic keys directly to 14 subaccounts. Transfer faulty, repaired and upgraded Crypto equipment to NATO and National Crypto accounts.
- Deputize the Primary Custodian in his absence, perform duties as Crypto Custodian, conduct inventories, destructions of Crypto material in Crypto Account.
- Issue or transfer crypto materials directed by the Controlling Authority to authorized COMSEC accounts (including sub accounts) or individual users.
If the material is classified, verifying that the individuals are cleared to the classification level of the material. - Perform encryption and setup of data a trust for NATO wide customers.
Audits NATO accounts on the destruction, inventories of crypto material.
Conduct Inventories, destructions of Crypto material in Crypto Account.
