Summary

I am passionate about conservation and the environment. My four years of study and my summer practical field work experience have strongly confirmed Environmental Science as the career choice for me. I am now looking forward to a career focused on my passion for the environment, presenting opportunities to work with similar minded people. My reliability, communication skills, responsibility and friendly nature are assets I would bring to the work. I have experience in field work, project management, research and data collection and analysis, with the ability to work independently and use my own initiative. I also have the ability to priorities whilst under pressure meeting tight deadlines. I am able to work in a multi-cultural team and adapt to new cultures. My previous positions have involved working and living in remote areas often under difficult conditions with significant physical fieldwork.

  • These position is head of Nature Protection Directorate, in it I become national focal point for all conventions followed from directorate,(CBD and protocols, SBSTTA, UNCCD,CMS, Ramsar,IPBES,UNEP/AEWA, and IUCN )
  • Representing Jordan in international participations related to agreements as head of the national negotiating team.
  • Member for the SBSTTA Bureau for the Asia-Pacific Region.

  • During these position I was technical assessment in directorate to follow up many projects and focal points for others like Nagoya project which implemented from UND, and I was follow up all activates for Ecosystem services project which funded from GIZ , Mainstreaming for Rio Conventions in National Strategies.
  • Internationally I represent Jordan in Biodiversity COP 12& 14, Round Table Dissection for Asia and Pacific, e-learning course and face to face meeting for Nagoya under title 'Elaborating Measures to Implement the Nagoya protocol.'

  • Company Overview: This directorate is one of technical directorates in Ministry of Environment where it work on Biodiversity Convention and Convention Combat of Desertification.
  • My work is to follow up the biodiversity convention and work to prepare ,enforcement and follow up everything about biodiversity , I was worked as team member of preparing the up-date strategy for biodiversity and I was participated in COP12 –COP 1 for biodiversity convention and Nagoya protocol which held in south Korea 2014 as Government representative of Jordan.
  • In addition that I work in legislation for Special protection areas and technical work to announce it and manage which is same for protected area.
  • I have good connection and technical cooperation with IUCN office for west Asia.
  • This directorate is one of technical directorates in Ministry of Environment where it work on Biodiversity Convention and Convention Combat of Desertification.

  • Company Overview: AECOM Technical Service, Inc has entered into a contract (the Prime contract) with US Agency for International Development (USAID) to support the implementation of water re-use and environmental conservation project.
  • At these work have large knowledge at type of projects and need to have strong background about best available technology, best environmental practice and environmental mitigation measures which must include at EIA studies.

  • Activation of the inspection system and identify environmental hot spots by make field survey at chemicals Industries sector (Petroleum Refinery, Paints Industries, Detergent Industries, Pesticides and chemical fertilizers Industries, Mining chemicals Industries like Potash Phosphate, Chlorine and Bromine Industries, Pharmaceutical industries and construction chemicals Industries).
  • I use GIS Applications at work and I modify questioner which use at field survey.
  • As outcome of work I prepare Environmental Digital Map for all Industries and identify high risk, medium risk, low risk of industries by using collecting information at owner software that help to make clear yearly program for inspection.
  • In addition above I was worked daily work at inspection and enforcement directorate at daily inspection at all type of activities.
  • These project was as Memorandum of Understanding between ministry of environment and U.S Environmental protection agency.

  • Hazardous waste management and monitoring is very important for environment and to have strong Decision at type of disposal so we going at ministry of environment to make environmental audit at sample of chemical industries to estimate type and amount of hazardous waste which generate hazardous waste and type of disposal it to choice the best process.
  • Basel convention and Hazard classification is the main reference of work but I work with parallel at E.U classification and U.S classification (RICRA).
  • Stockholm convention and Rotterdam convention are main conventions followed by these directorate for that I had good chance to work it and I share at Persistent Organic Pollutants (PoPs), E.U project to prepare farm low of waste and Regulation Impact assessment (RIA) for plastic pages.
  • Environmental audit and monitoring at cars workshops and oil change and washing stations.
  • In addition I have daily work at directorate in Trading and packaging of hazardous chemical waste and transfer hazardous waste to treatment center affiliated by the ministry.
