Summary

After four years' experience in Brussels in international finance and auditing, I took up the challenge of working in the human resources sector at Accent Jobs, House of HR Group.
My skills in sales force and performance management enabled me to passionately manage an office specializing in the recruitment of employee profiles for the Province of Liège and then several throughout Wallonia for 7 years.

Thanks to these experiences, the development of managerial-analytical skills in corporate services has enabled me to rise to the position of Regional Director within Acerta's payroll division.

Acerta is a national Payroll Agency. As Director, I'm in charge of doing the paychecks but here is what I need to take care of after my morning coffee :) :

House of HR is a European Group specialized in the recruitment and HR solutions field.

I stayed in the company for 7 years, started as recruitment consultant and ended up managing teams up to 65 people all across Wallonia.

Learned a lot and here are some tasks and responsibilities I was entitled to :

  • Analyzing recruiting procedures (e.g. job application and onboarding processes)
  • Supervise the recruiting team and report on its performance
  • Keep track of recruiting metrics (cost-per-hire)
  • Implement new sourcing methods (e.g. social recruiting and Boolean searches)

EY is one of the Big Four companies, worldwide known for auditing other companies. I was in the Tax department in the Headquaters of Belgium and worked on pharmaceutical companies accounts (Solvay, Bayer, Pfizer). With a team of 10 consultants, we :


  • Enhanced tax return compliance by leading the implementation of automated tax software systems.
  • Streamlined tax reporting processes for increased efficiency and accuracy in financial data (time sheet based work)
  • Advised clients on strategic tax planning, resulting in significant cost savings and minimized risks.
  • Managed a team of junior accountants, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities to foster growth (EY school program).
  • Person of contact when client complains escalation needed.

This was my first work experience post graduation. I worked for Elavon, which is a freight pay services company for US Bank.

I used to deal with customer Honeywell and main carriers were UPS and Fedex.

Basically, I had to :

  • Manage the shipments for Honeywell throughout Europe and ensure the billing for them were accurate.
  • This was a on-site position as all the contacts trought Europe were conference calls.
